Historic Richmond hosted the view party at Libby Hill last Thursday. What a spectacular event which included an art exhibit/auction. Sixty artists submitted impressive renderings of the view for the auction. The view was soaked in sunshine and the 400 guests were able to experience a glorious sunset and later the magical lite skyline. The neighbors were thrilled to share “their little piece of heaven!” Cynthia Newbille, City Council Representative of the 7th District, (Church Hill) was on hand to say a few words and promote the neighborhood. Everyone was in awe of the view and the artwork. It was a great evening! The Church Hill Old & Historic Districts captures this historically site and details its significance.
For those of you that missed the event and are interested in the neighborhood, Better Housing Coalition’s Center for Neighborhood Revitalization, is organizing a walking tour of Church Hill North on Saturday the 15th from 10-12. The tour will begin at 1001 N. 25th Street at the Design Center. What a great way to enjoy a beautiful day! Also, The Richmond Riverfront Plan is hosting their next meeting on Tuesday, October 18th at 6 p.m. at the Virginia War Memorial. Public participation is being encouraged.
